Always Keep Away From Children

Handle with care, the elders say— Some dreams are sharp, some words can fray. A spark of thought, a restless flame, Not every fire should feed a game.

For children hold a world so new, A sky unscarred, a brighter hue. Protect their hands, their hearts, their play, From shadows grown-ups keep at bay.

So store the storms upon your shelf, The fears you forged, the doubts yourself. Let innocence have room to grow— A gentler wind, a safer glow.

And when they’re strong enough to see The weight of life’s complexity, Then share your wisdom, slow and mild— Until that time… keep storms from child.
