Bodmin, mun. bor. and par., E. Cornwall, 26 miles NW. of Plymouth and 275 miles SW. of London by rail -- par., 6214 ac., pop. 5455; mun. bor., 2797 ac., pop. 5061; 2 Banks. Market-day, Saturday. Its port is Wadebridge, 7 miles to the NW. Worsted mfr. and malting are carried on. The borough returned 1 member to Parliament until 1885.
