Chislehurst, par. and vil. with ry. sta., W. Kent, 2½ miles NE. of Bromley and 9 miles SE. of London, 2748 ac., pop. 5341; P.O., T.O.; and P.O. at West Chislehurst, 1 mile distant; is charmingly situated on a common, about 300 ft. above sea-level. At Camden Place, in vicinity of vil., the Emperor Napoleon III. died in exile, January 1873; his tomb is in a side chapel added to St Mary's Catholic Church. See CAMDEN PLACE.
