Dalmally, vil. with ry. sta. and hotel, Argyllshire, near NE. head of Loch Awe, 24½ miles W. of Oban; P.O., T.O.; a resort of anglers, and a centre for tourists. In the old churchyard are some ancient gravestones of the clan Gregor, by whom the district was at one time peopled. Near D. is a monument to Duncan Ban Macintyre (1723-1812), a native of the district, and the most popular of modern Gaelic bards.
