Edmonton.-- town and par. (ry. sta. Lower Edmonton), Middlesex, on New River, 7½ miles N. of London, 7483 ac. (86 water), pop. 23,463; P.O., T.O., at Lower Edmonton, and P.O. at Upper Edmonton; has trade in timber by means of the Lea River navigation. The "Bell at Edmonton" has been rendered famous by Cowper's John Gilpin. Charles and Mary Lamb are buried in the church.
