Keiss, fishing vil., Wick par., and quoad sacra par., partly also in Canisbay par., Caithness - par., pop. 1348; vil., on Sinclair's Bay, 8 miles N. of Wick, pop. 313; P.O., T.O.; in vicinity are Keiss House, seat, and the ruins of Keiss Castle; prehistoric remains were found on Keiss Links in 1864.
