Newborough.-- par. and vil., Anglesey-par., 7410 ac., pop. 1042; vil., 3½ miles SE. of Bodorgan sta. and 12 miles SW. of Beaumaris; P.O. Newborough was at one period a place of importance. It was the capital of Anglesey, and had a charter of incorporation from Edward I. It gives the title of baron to a branch of the Wynn family.
