Port Bannatyne (or Kamesburgh), vil., North Bute par., Bute island, Firth of Clyde, on Kames Bay, 2½ miles NW. of Rothesay, pop. 651; P.O., T.O.; is a summer resort and a herring fishery sta., and has a steamboat pier, a hotel, and a hydropathic establishment. A tramway extends between the vil. and Rothesay.
