Sutton Bridge, town and river port with ry. sta., Long Sutton par., Lincolnshire, on river Nen, 3¾ miles SE. of Long Sutton and 7 miles N. of Wisbech by rail, pop. 2207; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. The town is situated 3 miles above the influx of the Nen with the Wash, and is of modern growth, the land having been reclaimed from the Wash since 1831. It has a good quay and warehouses, and carries on an active trade in corn, coal, timber, and other commodities.
