Thornham.-- par. and vil., Kent, 3½ miles E. of Maidstone, 3363 ac., pop. 648; Thornham Court is the seat of the Hampson family; on the brow of the hill stand the ruins of Thornham (or Godards) Tower, supposed to occupy the site of an ancient Roman watch-tower.
