Torksey, par., township, and vil. with ry. sta., in co. and 9¾ miles NW. of Lincoln, at the junction of the Foss Dyke and the river Trent - par., 3170 ac., pop. 336; township, pop. 160; P.O.; has the ruins of a castle on the site of a Roman granary, and had a priory founded by King John.
