Winster.-- small town and township, Youlgreave par., Derbyshire, 4 miles NW. of Matlock, 1123 ac., pop. 836; P.O., T.O. Winster is one of the oldest towns in the county, and had formerly a weekly market. Lead mining and agriculture are the chief industries. The Horticultural Society of Winster is one of the best in Derbyshire. Numerous places and objects of interest are in the vicinity.
