Wiston, parl. bor. and par., Pembrokeshire, 5½ miles NE. of Haverfordwest, 7078 ac., pop. 717; P.O.; was originally called Gwyston, from a castle built here by a Norman knight called Gwys. Wiston forms one of the Pembroke District of Parliamentary Boroughs, which returns 1 member.
