Rickmansworth, small town and par. with ry. sta., Herts, at the confluence of the Chess and the Colne, 3½ miles SW. of Watford, 10,020 ac., pop. 5511; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank; has mfrs. of strawplait and paper; attracts many anglers for the sake of sport in the neighbouring waters. Rickmansworth Park:, seat, is in N. vicinity of the town.
